Biography

Jennifer Wheeler is a Senior Consultant and Project Manager on the Zero Emissions Transportation team at 1898 & Co., a part of Burns & McDonnell. With over 22 years of experience in the transportation industry, Jennifer is passionate about guiding fleets through their journey to decarbonize and adopt low and zero emission technologies. She has successfully led numerous EV projects, including the Maricopa County EV Infrastructure Plan, zero emission transition plans for the City of Cedar Rapids, Cedar Rapids Transit, and Gainesville Regional Transit, and a battery electric vehicle pilot for a major utility on the east coast. Before joining 1898 & Co., Jennifer spent 18 years at Walmart supporting the Private Fleet in both operational and strategic roles, including leading sustainable transportation for Walmart’s supply chain. She also served as a Senior Program Manager at the North American Council for Freight Efficiency (NACFE) for two years, further deepening her commitment to advancing sustainable transportation solutions.
