Biography

Dr. Alexander Kuehl has been affiliated with the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU) for more than two decades. He received his diploma in mechatronics (2003-2008) and his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering (2009-2014) at FAU. From August 2014 to September 2024, he has been the director of the research center for electromechanical engineering, with a focus on electric motor production technology, inductive charging pad production, and electric road system production. He also serves on the Executive Committee of the FAPS Chair and the Faculty Board of the School of Engineering. In October 2024, Dr. Kuehl became the Academic Director of the FAPS Institute at FAU.
