Biography

Dr. Shinichi Yatsuzuka is the Director of Corporate R&D Division of DENSO, a globally leading mobility supplier, aiming to be carbon neutral by 2035. To achieve this goal, he has been leading development not only world-leading highly efficient vehicle components to save energy, but also energy infrastructure technologies, such as innovative renewable energy, rapid chargers, battery storage to accelerate electrification. In particular, he is focusing on developing Dynamic Wireless Power Transfer as a promising technology to promote electrification. Dynamic Wireless Power Transfer contributes to the CN challenge faced not only by electric vehicles but also by all hybrid vehicles that use hydrogen or hydrocarbon fuels. He holds a PhD degree from the University of Tokyo for the study on external combustion engine. From this study, he began working on developing technologies to explore and solve societal energy issues.
