Biography

With over 17 years of experience in investment banking and private equity, Carl is a seasoned investment professional with a track record of leading or co-leading over 40 corporate transactions across four continents in various sectors such as mining, oil and gas, renewable energy, waste, water, food, materials, and technology. Carl is a co-founder and managing partner of Focus Capital Partners, LLC, an investment firm supporting sustainable and innovative projects, including cattle farming, indoor agriculture such as greenhouses, vertical farming, agtech as well as cold storage and distribution. In addition to agriculture, Carl has a particular interest in critical minerals, including lithium, cobalt, rare earths, copper, tin, and graphite, which play a vital role in the development and production of technology, renewable energy, EV sector and other key industries. He is dedicated to supporting projects that responsibly extract and utilize these minerals. Aside from his investment pursuits, he is the creator and organizer of 'The Future Conference', a yearly gathering where he brings together some of the most forward-thinking and entrepreneurial individuals to facilitate discussions and drive innovation across various ventures.
