Maximilian Kneidl is a research associate and PhD candidate at the Institute of Factory Automation and Production Systems at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. As a project manager of public funded federal research projects he is responsible for the development of innovative manufacturing technologies for the production of wireless power transfer systems. The focus of his research is on the insulation technology of electrical machines. Before joining the university, he gained experience as a quality engineer for powertrains at AUDI AG and in the R&D department for manufacturing technologies of e-drives at Porsche AG. He holds a master's degree in mechanical engineering from the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. In his latest position as co-founder of Seamless Energy Technologies GmbH, he aims to bring the results from research into the industry to establish WPT systems in the market.
