Biography

Brian is Jacobs’ practice lead in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS); connected, automated and electric vehicles and road user charging. Brian is a registered professional electrical engineer for several States in the US with a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from University of Illinois – Champaign-Urbana. He has 30 years’ experience as a practicing electrical engineer and has specialized in vehicular technologies since 2004. With 20 years in transportation, Brian has worked on nearly 100 ITS projects. Brian is a thought leader for Jacobs providing insight and consulting for transportation practitioners through dialog and advisement on how to plan and design for emerging transportation technologies including Connected, Automated and Electric Vehicles. Since 2004, he has helped over 20 transportation agencies develop CAV plans, concepts of operation, systems engineering documentation, plans, specification and estimates for pilot and permanent installations of roadside technologies and software applications to support CAV.
