Biography

Richard van den Dool is Vice President Charge at ENRX Group, a leading induction technology company from Norway. He spearheads the growth, commercialization, and development of inductive charging and power transfer solutions for e-mobility and industrial applications. Before joining ENRX, Richard served as CEO of IPT Technology GmbH, a pioneer in wireless charging since 1996. He integrated Primove GmbH’s assets from Bombardier into IPT Technology during his tenure, further solidifying its market position. In 2022, IPT Technology merged with EFD Induction to form ENRX, an international green-tech powerhouse delivering solutions for induction heating, wireless charging, and contactless power supply. With over 25 years of experience driving technical innovation and international business, Richard has successfully transformed induction technologies into impactful market solutions. His achievements include advancing Electric Road Systems, highlighted by deploying a 0.75-mile electrified highway pilot in Florida, USA. Richard also leads the adoption of heavy-duty static wireless charging in urban areas and the development of tailored inductive power transfer systems for industrial applications, such as AGVs, robotics, and material handling machinery. Beyond his role at ENRX, Richard is an active member of PIARC (World Road Association). Collaborating with experts from 128 member countries, he contributes to advancing road and transport infrastructure, focusing on decarbonization. As part of PIARC’s Technical Committee 3.5 on Road Infrastructure for Decarbonization, he advocates for adopting Electric Road Systems and electrification technologies, highlighting the transformative potential of induction technology.
